Leader Group is in the business of selling used and guaranteed lifting equipment. Here are the many benefits of buying a used tool:

The companies that offer this service by purchasing used equipment, restoring it and reselling it are numerous and subject to more and more checks and inspections. This leads to greater security in the purchase and use of a guaranteed, working device.
    • Reduced price. Used lifting equipment costs significantly less than new, which certainly makes it more attractive to small and medium-sized businesses.
    • Small and medium-sized companies can also take advantage of the benefits of a practical and functional tool that facilitates their operations without having to make a major economic investment that is sure to have a major impact on the company's budget.
    • The affordable cost of used equipment makes it possible to purchase a lifting device without requiring financing or mortgages.
    • All used and new Aerial Platforms are subject to the same control concerning safety standards according to European directives. Therefore, by purchasing a used instrument you will buy the same guarantees as a new product.

    Types of vertical aerial platforms

Used and new vertical platforms are distinguished by the type of power supply and lifting structure.

Below, you will find a brief description of the lifting equipment on the market and its characteristics. Choosing the most suitable product for your needs is the first step towards creating a functional and effective fleet of equipment at your disposal.

    • Vertical Scissor Lift Platforms

This is a lift table mounted on a lifting system with crossed arms resting on a self-propelled wagon. The very low centre of gravity guarantees its safety and stability. Thanks to a translating walkway, it is possible to increase the working surface and move laterally about the shape of the structure.

Advantages: the operator can work comfortably while relying on an extended support surface. Particularly stable structure. Compactness and small dimensions allow it to be used indoors and outdoors and where there is little space to manoeuvre.

Disadvantages: can only be transported with the aid of a dedicated truck. Does not allow the operator to drive over obstacles or obstructions between the supporting structure and the point of operation.

    • Vertical Column Platforms

In this AWP model, the work table is lifted using a column boom. The hydraulic extension system enables the column to lift the work table.

Advantages: As with scissor platforms, the compact dimensions allow this device to work indoors and outdoors. The gap created between the platform and the self-propelled carriage during lifting allows obstacles and obstructions to be easily overcome at lower heights

Disadvantages: limited in movement, requiring the use of third-party vehicles for transport.

    • Electric Vertical Platforms

Available in both scissor and column models, these AWPs are fitted with an electrically powered motor. A battery located in the self-propelled carriage allows the scaffolding to be moved and the table to be raised.

Advantages: extremely compact dimensions and suitable for indoor work and confined spaces.

      Disadvantages: limited maximum achievable heights.

    • Diesel Vertical Platforms

The scissor and column models have a diesel fuel system. They are particularly suitable for outdoor use and tend to reach higher altitudes than their electric predecessors. In the tracked version they can also be used where the stabilisation terrain is not particularly flat or even.

Advantages: greater heights reached, up to 20 metres.

Disadvantages: easy for outdoor use and in very large spaces such as sheds or industrial warehouses, indoors they are less suitable. Larger dimensions than their electric counterparts.

    • Bi-Fueled Vertical Platforms

These are mast or scissor-mounted platforms that are fitted with a combined hybrid fuel system: Diesel/Electric. They can benefit from the advantages of the two previous solutions depending on the type of power supply.

    Buying used goods safely
